Using the Law of Attraction to Attain Your Best Life
A secret to attaining your best life is simply to live the ideal life with everything you bring into it: a perfect house, perfect family, perfect self.
But how do you attain that?
Over time, humanity has forgotten a great deal of the old laws that once governed creative thinking. The happiest people in life are typically those who understand the basic principal behind the law of attraction.
Forget all that old stuff you've been sold about how "opposites attract". Well, that may be true for magnets, but people are (obviously) not magnets. And while it's true that sometimes we may be attracted to people who aren't like us simply out of a basic magnetism, what ultimately brings us to a happy life is the law of attraction.
Simply put, the law of attraction states that "like attracts like." The more you like something, the more it likes you.
If you want to create harmony in your life, you NEED to adopt this principle.
The law of attraction works like this:
1. You picture the thing you want. Money, love, a happier family life, a dog, whatever it may be.
2. You tell yourself, "I am attracting (X thing) into my life."
3. You repeat this affirmation, day by day, until you have the thing you want.
You might be wondering how this works, and that's quite a logical question. Basically, the above formula works because you start subconsciously programming yourself to go after the things you want.
When you get what you want, you're happy.
Realize that this works for anything in your life, and believe it. Put it into practice. Search yourself until you've figured out what it is you truly want and need.
Then, ask the universe for it, using the law of attraction. Keep doing it until you attain the things you want.

How to Comfortably Start Exercising
Exercise is one of the best health benefits available to humankind. I firmly believe our bodies are intended to be active; this is because I've exercised for many years and seen first-hand what health benefits come with it. But it's also proven that exercise boosts mood, physical and mental health, your sex life, and all kinds of things.
So if you're interested in getting started with exercise but aren't sure how or what kind is best for you, I'll share the way I got started working out regularly.
1. Select your favorite music.
If you have an iPod or other mp3 player (you can get cheaper ones as well as the Zune from Microsoft, and many other mp3 players), select and sync some of your favorite music. If you enjoy aerobic exercise like running, I suggest getting upbeat tunes with steady beats.
Electronic music works well for this. In my case, Lady Gaga's great to run to, as well as any club music with steady beats. You might also like tribal drumming music, as this gets one into a more "primal" mindset which allows for focused exercise.
2. Find a location to work out.
I prefer a simple running trail, and sometimes just my own neighborhood streets, for working out. I typically sprint or run long runs for endurance. Bring your iPod along and listen to music as you go; it will propel you and keep you motivated during the run.
Don't be surprised if you get so into your workouts that you totally lose track of time! This is especially true the more in shape you become, and the stronger your body gets. Soon, you'll be able to get into the "zen" mindset of exercise without any effort.
3. Continue this for 3-4 days per week as you're starting out.
I typically include physical activity of some sort every day, but when you're first starting out, aim for 30-60 minutes of low to moderate physical activity. Be sure if you're exercising outdoors to wear sunscreen, appropriate (breathable) clothing, and to keep hydrated. Don't drink too much water; just listen to your body.
As you continue exercising, gradually increase the intensity of exercise. You might find that you enjoy it so much, you're tempted to do more. I highly advise resisting this temptation, as it will often result in fatigue and symptoms of overtraining (which I've suffered from numerous times, as I tend to be overzealous about working out).
Remember: pace yourself.
If you're like me, you'll find that the more you work out, the more you love it. Exercise is great for improving physical coordination and fitness. You might want to try some weight training as well, so that you can balance out the different areas of your body. Exercise is also great for healing injuries that come from too much sitting (such as from a desk job).

How to Start Living Your Best Life
When I started reworking my life to get away from a job I hated and a life I wasn't enjoying, I had to work from scratch.
At first, it was pretty rocky. I had no clue what I wanted to do, aside from an inkling that I wanted to have my own business (which at the time, I had no clue about; I was a struggling young man working from paycheck to paycheck).
Then I read this little book, The Science of Getting Rich. It's been one of my favorites and I've read it's the stepping stone for many gurus who go on to write about the Law of Attraction, one of my most useful tools that's helped me rework my life.
I've rambled plenty here, though, so I'll get into the nuts and bolts of what really makes one capable of living his or her best life.
Step 1: Picture it.
You need to figure out what you want in your best life, your "dream" life. For me, this was a peaceful house in the mountains. For you, it might be something totally different. Take some time off to go somewhere quiet (I've found that natural settings, like a hiking trail, work well for this). While you're there, picture the life you really WANT to live. Get in in your mind - and don't let go.
Step 2: Write it down.
In order to really achieve your dream life, you're going to need to keep a log of it. The human mind simply works in such a way that we have to write things down as we think about them; otherwise, they'll be gone in a few minutes.
As fragments of your dream life start coming to you, write them down. I've found a computer and simple word processor work well for this. As you write these images and thoughts down, keep track of them! Don't lose sight of your dream life anywhere along the way.
Step 3: Start taking steps towards your dream life.
As you think of something necessary for your ideal house, job, relationship, etc., write it down - and then say, "I am attracting this (thing) into my life." Let's take a job for example. If you're unhappy with your current job, write down, "I am attracting my dream job into my life."
It sometimes helps to repeat this if you're stuck in a major rut and need some de-programming to get out of the negative cycle.
The main thing is just to write down what you want to attract, and what will happen is that you will subconsciously start making the necessary changes in your life to attract exactly what you want - and GET exactly what you want.
I hope these tips have proven useful to you. In future posts, I will continue to outline the exact steps you can use to start achieving your best life by positive self-talk, elimination of bad habits, and surrounding yourself with the things that you love and are made happy by.
